This tropical safari tablescape is meant to inspire and brighten up your life with its soft colors, bold prints, and floral accents.
Why I Choose a Tropical Safari-Themed Table
I had to put this table together after reminiscing about my childhood growing up in Central America. My upbringing brought on a lot of inspiration as I looked inward. I grew up surrounded by tropical plants, bright florals, and fruit trees in my gardens. It felt good to pour all my inward inspiration onto this table.
When is the Best Time for a Tropical Safari Tablescape?
I’d say any occasion is a great excuse for a tropical safari tablescape, but ending the summer with a big bang of a table would be my number one reason.
This table screams summer and would be a great excuse to put together an end-of-summer gathering for your friends and family with its simple color scheme blended with bold safari-like patterns. Let it transport you away from home and out to a beautiful African safari. A safari like the Serengeti National Park sounds like a great pick!
What Should a Tropical Safari Table Setting Include?
Setting the Tropical Table
Setting the tropical safari table is the best part. It is so fun with its mix of color, patterns, and textures! I loved the texture and a bit of casualness added by the raffia placemats and fringed napkins.
Per my usual fashion, I bought fabric to create this tablecloth. This fabric is a design from Paolo Moschino for Kravet. I love how this pattern and color create such an interesting but neutral backdrop to all the colors on the table.

Tropical Safari Table Setting Must Haves
The zebra bottle opener is a must in my opinion. It is a functional conversation started and a great hostess gift! You know I love a monogram on my napkins. This palm leaf monogram makes these casual fringed napkins stand out, making them a great addition that really pops from the table.
I also adored adding pops of zebra prints all around the table. You’ll see it on the plates and place card holders.

Tropical Safari Floral Accents
Finally, tie your tropical safari tablescape together with some luscious florals. I went with soft pink and orange florals and I think they added some great dimension to the table! Here are the floral elements I used in the large arrangement: light orange ranunculus, light pink stock flowers, pink tulips, and pink yarrow added the texture at the base of the arrangement and filled in the holes along with an assortment of tropical leaves. The smaller arrangements had a banksia orange flower as the focal flower, and other leftover flowers like yarrow, stock flowers, and small pink flowers from my garden along with one or two tropical leaves finished them off. Don’t get intimidated by these arrangements if creating florals is not your thing, picking one or two of these flowers with some tropical leaves would still make a beautiful centerpiece and add color to your table.
