The Perfect Summer Cocktail
Tropical Staycations and exotic cocktails go hand in hand right? I have an exotic summer cocktail coming your way The Royal Treatment Cocktail!
The Inspiration
Due to my hesitation to travel during this pandemic, I decided to treat myself and my family to a staycation instead. Since some of our fondest memories are from our vacations at our favorite tropical resorts, the inspiration started there. This inspired me to create a colorful table for my planned tropical staycation. Click tropical-inspired tablescape to get all the links to create your own table.
Imagine tall brilliantly colored buildings surrounded by lush foliage like palm trees and pink Bougainvillea swaying in balmy breezes. All of this, creating an exotic backdrop to the beautiful beach with its crystal clear water and brilliant white sand. The other memorable part of those vacations were the endless buffets of fresh food and delicious cocktails.
Of course, nothing says exotic vacay more than sipping on a tropical cocktail so I had to pick one that would greatly add to the staycation experience. When I found the Empress Gin cocktail named “The Royal Treatment” my choice was a slam dunk! Empress Gin 1908 is a beautiful deep purple color due to one of its ingredients being the butterfly pea flower. It is rich in botanical notes and it has quickly become one of my favorite gins.
The Ingredients
This refreshing cocktail, made out of white cranberry juice, Empress Gin, sparkling white wine garnished with kiwi, and your mix of berries makes anyone feel like royalty. I loved using this acrylic wine glass because it gave the cocktail such a beautiful presentation and I didn’t have to worry about broken glass. You can find similar acrylic wine glasses here and an acrylic wine bucket here.
Can you see yourself sipping on this delicious cocktail under an umbrella yet? I think I’m going to have my kids act as waiters and serve it on a tray. LOL!
I buy my Empress Gin 1908 at Total Wine but to learn more about this delicious gin visit their beautiful website here.
