Three Tropical Tablescape Decorating Ideas:
Moody Tropical Tablescape Idea
First on our list today we have the Moody Tropical Tablescape. It is a sophisticated way of doing it. Using neutrals like white, creams, grays, and even a bit of black, this table comes to life. You bring in a bit of color with greenery or even colorful flowers like how I used the pink orchid. The texture is brought in with things like shells and textured plates like these ones.
I’m known to use anything that is fabric on my table as table linen, the grey runner is actually a curtain I found at a discount store. You’d be surprised just how creative you can get when setting a pretty table!
The dessert wine goblets are Murano glasses while the black-white wine glasses were an inexpensive find. Aren’t they lovely?

Blue and White Tropical Table Setting
Our next table is an elegant Blue and White Tropical Tablescape. You know how much I love blue and white and chinoiserie, so of course, I had to combine them on a tropical table.
This table was set after I had a bit of a creative slump. I actually did what I call an accessory dump to get my juices started. I went around my house and put together things that reminded me of the sea and chinoiserie. See what I came up with in the photo below.
This got my juices flowing.
The tablecloth is actually a piece of fabric and its pattern reminded me of the sea when the sunlight reflects on it. I decided on just using shells and a bowl of lemons to add texture and another color to the table. If you have enough room and want to make a big statement, place your centerpiece at the end of the table, as I did with this large chinoiserie ginger jar.
This oversized ginger jar was too large to go in the middle of the table but at the end of the table and filled with palm leaves and surrounded by shells it made its mark and was simple to create.

Colorful Tropical Tablescape
Lastly, we have this bold Colorful Tropical Tablescape.
The great thing about living in a tropical environment is how you are naturally surrounded by color. I used green as my base with these block print linens and used colorful flowers and fruit to bring in an immense amount of color.
This was my Staycation Tropical table during the first year of the quarantine and it definitely made me feel like I got away.
