It’s the season of reds and pinks, but why not mix it up a bit and add some pattern to the mix? I see butterflies on the list of tablescape trends this year and this red and pink butterfly themed table setting would be perfect for a variety of occasions from Galentine’s Day and onto Mother’s Day and Birthday Parties!
I originally put this butterfly themed tablescape together with Galentine’s Day in mind and that is why you’ll see the many pops of pink and red. The star of the show, though, are the beautiful butterflies scattered throughout the tablescape!
As you can see, I incorporated the butterflies into the china and even the napkin rings! How cute are they. I couldn’t find the exact ones I have in my collection, but these ones here are a great alternative!
Butterfly Inspired China
This table was inspired by the butterflies and florals on this beautiful butterfly china by Adam Lippes for @oka. This beautiful butterfly inspired china gave me plenty of inspiration to do just that! The flowers, butterflies, and shades of pastel colors were perfect elements to emphasize on this feminine table.
Designing the Pink Butterfly Themed Table Setting
After choosing this china, then I knew that the colors of my wine glasses from @estellecoloredglass would go perfectly with the color scheme. Of course I had to add the color of love to the table, and the wicker placemat from @cabanamagazine added jut that pop of red to enhance each place setting. The pink napkins (@bodrumlinens) from @cbealifestyle also matched my tablecloth perfectly.
Design tip: Unify the elements on the table by using accessories that replicate something in the China pattern. The napkin rings, added another representation of the butterfly pattern seen on the cups and plates.
To really tie the table together, I decided to utilize my favorite gold flatware. I thought the gold flatware paired exceptionally well with the butterfly inspired china and pastel pink color scheme.
To add some extra detail to my pink butterfly inspired table setting, I filled in the empty spaces with tea light candles, cherries, and pink desserts. I thought they really brought the table together!
