Blackwatch plaid makes for a stunner of a Christmas tablescape and if a plaid Christmas tablescape is on the menu this year, you’ll find this post to be a dream come true!
Plaid is everywhere this year from the runway to home decor and of course it’s a classic when it comes to the Christmas table. I’ve daydreamed of setting a table influenced by the inspiration of the tables that I’ve pinned from Ralph Lauren and I have finally brought that dream to life.
When Solino Home approached me with their Blackwatch linens, I was excited to use all that inspiration and am equally as excited to share with you what I pieced together.
The linens themselves are a dream. Deep, rich tones shine through at first glance and then the silky texture steals the show up close. They are a dream to work with as well!
I let the linens have their moment but I paired a blue napkin with the plaid napkin to help the dark colors of the Blackwatch napkin to pop a bit. I thought the pairing looked magical and true to the theme.
Next, the white plates with gold rims framed the napkins with their gold leaf napkin rings. The white plates came in as the perfect backdrop for the napkins. I tucked a bit of the berries from the flower arrangement in the napkin ring to tie in the red of the arrangement back into the place setting. Another way to make these napkins pop!
A faux pears sprayed gold with a bit of eucalyptus and a velvet bow added a festive touch to each place setting. These pears were a beautiful backdrop to the banner name cards.
Like many Ralph Lauren tables, I chose to use red roses in the centerpiece. The arrangement was made up of different tones of red roses, red anemones, berries, seeded eucalyptus, and shamrock hydrangeas.
