Creating the Perfect Summer Party Tablescape
For this summer table setting, I chose a combination of bright yellow and vibrant blue to capture the essence of a Tuscan summer. The key to a successful Tuscan-inspired table is embracing these vibrant colors, natural elements, and rustic charm.
Here’s my formula to create a beautiful table:
1. Pick a Seasonal Flower
Sunflowers are the perfect choice for a summer party. Their bright yellow petals bring a cheerful and sunny vibe to the table. Sunflowers are not only beautiful flowers but also symbolize happiness and warmth, making them an ideal focal point. Fresh cut sunflowers stand out and create a stunning focal point.
2. Choose a Seasonal Fruit
Fresh lemons were my fruit of choice for this table setting. Their vibrant yellow color complements the sunflowers perfectly, and their fresh scent adds a delightful aroma to the table. Additionally, I used lemons with lemon leaves pinned to them for name cards, adding a personal and creative touch to each place setting.
3. Use Summery Plates
The plates featured in this setting are from Pfaltzgraff’s Villa Luna Collection, celebrating their 20th anniversary. These plates have beautiful Tuscan-inspired patterns that tie in perfectly with the theme. Their bold blue color contrasts beautifully with the yellow elements, enhancing the overall look. 4. Add Woven Elements
Incorporating natural materials like large woven chargers and wicker lampshades adds texture and a rustic feel to the table. These elements bring a touch of the Tuscan countryside, making the setting feel more authentic and inviting. The woven lampshade lamps also create a warm and cozy ambiance, perfect for evening gatherings.
5. Add a Pop of Color
Vibrant blue glassware and accents provide the perfect contrast to the yellow sunflowers and lemons. This pop of color ties the whole look together, making the table setting visually appealing and cohesive.
In addition, accessories such as this embroidery dinner napkin with a complimentary shade of blue creates more of a cohesive look.
Centerpiece Ideas for a Summer Tablescape
Sunflower Centerpiece
For the sunflower centerpiece, I created a lush arrangement of bright sunflowers mixed with yellow solidago. The combination of these flowers creates a full and vibrant display, perfect for capturing the essence of a summer day. The sunflowers’ large blooms and bright yellow petals are eye-catching and cheerful, making them an ideal focal point for your table. Arranged in a simple white vase, the sunflowers stand out beautifully, adding height and drama to the table.

Lemon Topiary Centerpiece
To complement the sunflowers, I also included a lemon topiary centerpiece. Using fresh lemons, bamboo sticks, and Italian Ruscus leaves, I created a rounded topiary that adds a touch of citrusy freshness to the table. The bright yellow lemons paired with the lush green leaves bring a natural and lively element to the setting. The lemon topiary not only adds visual interest but also ties in with the Tuscan theme through its use of seasonal fruits.

Tying It All Together
For this tablescape, I started with a bold yellow tablecloth that sets a sunny foundation. The centerpiece is a lush arrangement of sunflowers mixed with yellow solidago, creating a full and vibrant display. I placed the sunflowers in a simple white vase to let the flowers shine.
Next, I added a bowl of fresh lemons to the table, enhancing the Tuscan vibe with their bright color and fresh scent. The Pfaltzgraff Villa Luna plates are stacked on large woven chargers, adding texture and rustic charm. The blue glassware adds a refreshing pop of color, tying the whole look together.
To complete the setting, I included wicker lampshades and small votive candles, creating a warm and inviting ambiance perfect for a summer party. The lemons with pinned lemon leaves as name cards add a personal and unique touch, making each guest feel special.
