This is what I’m offering as the Thanksgiving Table inspiration this year. The Lenox Autumn plate collection was my beautiful starting point and the other items on the table were chosen to accent it. The color scheme of blue and white is accented with burnt orange, soft peaches, yellows, and green. I took a more is more approach with this table and freely blended patterns and texture. If you are familiar with my other entertaining blog posts, I love to show you all the different ways you can set the table with the same items. I’m so excited to share all the items that brought this table together.
The Thanksgiving Table Inspiration -The Lenox Autumn Collection
In the photo above, is the Autumn Place setting, my inspiration in all its glory, Dinner Plate, Accent Plate, and bread plate. I used my Lenox -Kate Spade Rutherford Circle Navy plate as a charger for this grouping. This plate is discontinued but I’ve been able to find it at Home Goods or Amazon almost every year. It’s larger allows me to use it as a charger, here it helps the plates pop off the patterned tablecloth.
Can I tell how beautiful these plates are! The Autumn Collection features hand-applied enamel dots to create a cornucopia of fruit and flower and sports a gold rim. I wish I can hand this plate to you and let you feel the texture these hand-applied enamel dots create. If that wasn’t enough they are dishwasher safe. Ok, I’ll stop my gushing, they were a great starting point to my table!
My first twist to this place setting is replacing the bread plate with a beautifully embroidered napkin from Crown Linen Designs.
The Thanksgiving Table
Besides the blue and white and all the Autumn details, I wanted to this table to reflect my love for Chinoiserie, the Pagado Lanterns rentals from Your Butler Pantry added a touch of that and their beautiful green and silver goblets were like jewelry on the table. This added more of a traditional touch to the table.
For the place setting on the table, to add a slightly more casual feel since the table was set outdoors, I introduced an accent plate from Lenox”s French Perle collection in a creamy white. Its creamy color, tone on tone design, slightly distressed finish paired well with the Autumn collection. It allowed the rim of the Autumn dinner plate to shine and was a nice backdrop for the dinner napkin. It also balanced all the patterns and colors on the table.

The napkins are the same embroidered linen napkins from Crown Linen Designs, I loved the way the backside of the napkins and the way their hems were finished, and to add the saturated burnt orange color associated with Autumn, I used a piece of colored velvet ribbon with a feather tucked in it. Using ribbons in your place setting is an easy way to decorate your table, in this post you’ll see how I utilized it in different ways. The gold feather place card holder, (which I absolutely love!) repeated the use of the feather on the table. The feather cardholder is more clearly seen in the following photos below. If you are in the market for beautiful table linens Crown Linen Designs is an online shop is one you would like to peruse. They recently partnered with Arte Italica tableware and offer a wide selection of this beautiful Italian line.
Did you recognize the tablecloth on the table? It’s the same one that I used for my Garden Themed Soiree to see how it looks like on that table here. The beauty of blue and white is that it can be used as a color combo to decorate your table in any season.
I did the switch again and the original glasses on the table were replaced by the ever-popular Estelle glasses in Blush and Amber. These are hand blown glasses with the most beautiful translucent colors and been all the rage. I’ve been stalking them on social media and online. I was so excited to find that The Avenue, a local boutique in Houston carried them. It was great to visit the store get them in my hands and feel their quality and see their pretty translucent colors. They look even more lovely in person and added a modern touch to the table. The Avenue is a boutique in Houston which is worth visiting! Nestled among other interior design and fashion boutiques, they carry a wonderfully curated collection of tableware and linens but stylish fashion as well. For those of you who don’t live in Houston, no worries, they have online shopping available.
The Flowers
The flowers on the table are blush colored roses, orange dahlias, mustard chrysanthemums, copper leaves, punctuated by dark scabiosa flowers. I further accented the center of the table with pears and dark grapes. In the photo above the same flowers are held in an antiqued silver Tureen, a rental from Your Butler Pantry. The combination of the flower-filled tureen on this tray, with the addition of some glasses, would make the perfect drink station. The tray was one of my lucky finds at Home Goods.
More Place Settings
In the above place setting all the plates are from Lenox: The Rutherford Circle Navy Dinner Plate( Kate Spade), French Perle Accent plate, the Autumn bread plate with the addition of a wooden charger create a more casual place setting. These beautiful feather place card holders from OKA tie in with the gold accessories and flatware on the table.
Jewelry on the Table-Glassware
Using colored glassware for the table, whether its vintage pieces or more modern glassware like the Estelle glasses, is like adding a piece of jewelry to your favorite black dress. They make such a beautiful statement and bring your table to the next level! Boy did I feel like a kid on Christmas morning as I was setting the table with all this glassware! I had to share these pictures as these glasses are indeed jewelry for the table.
Of course, you can’t have pretty glasses and have nothing to fill them! Here are two cocktails that would be perfect for Thanksgiving or any Fall celebrations the Sparkling Pomegranate Spritzer and the Bourbon Apple Cider Cocktail.
