Easter makes for a fun season of tablescapes and this green and blue Spring tablescape was made for the holiday. Here you will find all of the details on how to make your own beautiful and easy green and blue Spring tablescape that is perfect for Easter!
Green and Blue Spring Tablescape
I’m so excited to inspire you to welcome Spring with this early sneak peek of my own Easter tablescape!
Let’s kick this off with my favorite; blue and white is always right!
I decided to use two different blue and white tablescloths for this tablescape because blue and white is such a classic color combination. It really can become a neutral and it can go with so many colors including the beautiful pastel shades used in Spring.
You can see how it really it is such a beautiful base for not only the green and white that you see on the plates, but also the beautiful yellow tulips and almost purple-ish blue from the hyacinths that you see in the flower arrangement.
Don’t be afraid to layer different patterns to add visual interest. I love adding different fabrics and patterns together. My general rule is to mix an organic pattern with a geometric pattern.
The bottom layer of the table is a beautiful block print with a poppy pattern (my organic pattern) then I went ahead and added a geometric pattern on top of it with the blue and white plaid pattern. I linked similar patterns because these are from my personal collection
I started off the table setting by adding the light blue placemats to bring in that light blue color on the table again and it’s scalloped boarder imitated the scalloped boarder of the green charger plate. The eye loves when patterns and colors are repeated so I also used a napkin with a light blue scalloped edge.
Warm weather tables, especially alfresco tables, give us the opportunity to bring tons of texture into our tables which adds such beautiful textural interest. I love it even more when you use tableware that represents the living bounty of the Spring season and it allows the table to burst with life.
The clay cabbage charger, with the lily of the valley dinner plates and salad plates, did just that. Pair this textural stack with the wood texture of the bamboo flatware, the basketweave pitcher juxtapost with the slick and translucent green goblets on the table, and you got a mix that creates casual elegance.
Don’t forget how important the finishing details are.
Adding a place card paired with a tulip tied with a raffia ribbon not only adds personalization but adds a bit of the brilliant color of the centerpiece back to the place setting. This further ties the table together.
You can also play around with the floral arrangement. While I love a traditional themed vase, using a large bowl to arrange flowers in is just as beautiful!
Adding ceramic bunnies act as a the nod to the Spring, or to the upcoming Easter celebrations. I wanted the result to be vibrant, textural, but at the same time crisp, and casually elegant. I’m in love with the results hope you are too!
