Pretty Pink and Green Table Setting for Spring

Here are a few tidbits about my own green and pink table setting:

I loved using this green velvet tablecloth. It served as the base of a lush garden. Switching to a striped or buffalo check sage and white tablecloth would add a casualness to this table which would be a pretty alternative.

Usually there are two general focal points on a table. The centerpiece on the table and the place settings. The flower centerpieces wows your guests as they enter your dining area and the place setting is what will wow them at their chosen seat.

An easy way to create drama on a circular table is using a grouping of blue and white miniature vases filled with bright spring blooms and a tall chinoiserie vase. This is best done on a small table using one side for the centerpiece or a very large circular table where the vase won’t be too obstructing to your guest’s conversation.

A pink Ginori plate coupled with a pierced plate with a blue ribbon finished with a ribbon is a lovely way to get started with your place settings. The addition of the ribbon to the plate brought the eyes to the pink dessert plate and emphasized it as the focal point of the place setting.

Gold bamboo flatware added the sparkle and further gave a nod to the chinoiserie style.

I purposely use clear gold goblets with small gold rims to further tie in the gold metal but also not to take away attention to the what I wanted the center of attention to be in the place setting, featuring the pink dessert plate.
