It was a celebration of the return of a regular schedule, getting back a few hours of quiet in our homes, and of course the start of a new school year.
I’m experiencing this time in a different way this year since my youngest is heading to college. So whether you want to celebrate the start of a new school year or just need to create an opportunity to spend time with your friends after the busy summer months, setting this table will make your time extra special.
How to Create a Chinoiserie Tablescape

Chinoiserie is an art style that originated in Europe during the 17th and 18th centuries, characterized by Chinese motifs and intricate patterns. Incorporate this style into your tablescape by choosing blue and white China dishes adorned with traditional Asian designs, such as delicate cherry blossoms or serene landscapes. Setting the table with the Juliska Country Estate Salad Plates paired with their Sitio Stripe Dinner Plate with its pattern showcasing a serene landscape was a perfect fit for this table.

The tablescape is finished with the unexpected exotic dark hue of the tortoise goblets, which also adds more visual texture to the table.
