Classic Festive Christmas Tablescape in Red Green and Gold

Tis’ the season for some beautiful red green and gold Christmas tablescapes! I have a beautiful classic festive Christmas tablescape to share with you today that is adorned with beautiful gold accents that bring out the beautiful Christmas-themed plate stacks I put together for the Christmas table setting. Below you will find the details of the table along with plenty of links to recreate this wonderful Christmas-themed table setting in your own home this holiday season!

Choosing a Theme for your Christmas Table Setting

When it comes to choosing a theme for your Christmas dinner party, you can’t go wrong with a classic. This classic festive Christmas tablescape I put together for my own family Christmas dinner is touched with the perfect amount of red and green with bold touches of gold and I think that it makes for an incredibly beautiful classic Christmas table setting. The pears really bring out the Christmas vibe.

If you decide to go this route, I suggest keeping the red and green colors light. As you can see in the image below, I stuck with red and green accents so that the colors didn’t stand out too boldly. I wanted the table to be light and almost whimsical and huge pops of red and green would have stolen the show. So instead, I chose pieces with the colors more so as accents so that the table was easy to take in.

Why Classic Festive Christmas Tablescapes are Superior

I might be biased here, but I think that a classic red and green Christmas table is superior because it holds the heart of Christmas. Anyone would look at the table and right away they would know that it is a festive Christmas tablescape! Take a look at the image below. Doesn’t it just scream Christmas to you?

How to Create a Beautiful Christmas Tablescape

Creating a wonderful Christmas tablescape is easier than you think. All you need is some festive dinnerware and you’re halfway there! I go into some great details for how to set a beautiful Christmas dinner table inside of this post and I think you should take a read if you are new to setting dinner tables for Christmas holiday dinners!

What it comes down to, the details. Like the pears for example. Pears and Christmas have quite a bit of history, so adding them to your table can really bring out the Classic Christmas Tablescape feel! Heard in the song, 12 Days of Christmas, you’ll hear about the fruitful pear tree. It is a symbol of comfort and is a symbolic of Christ upon the Cross. You can read more about it here.

Other great details to include with your Christmas table setting would be velvet tied napkins, gold accented dinnerware, unique candles (like my twisted red candles), and of course these beautiful handwritten placecards.

Where to Find Elegant Christmas Table Setting Dinnerware

I’m sharing a bit of holiday inspiration by setting this table using a combination of @pickardchina plate patterns. I think this combination of plates is so festive and classy at the same time.

Their popular Sea Island salad plate tops this plate stack and I decided to do something a bit different with the monogram (shared above). Instead of using my personal initials, I combined my husband’s and my initials together. Doing that makes these plates extra special to us.

Here are the patterns I used for the look above:
Charger Plate: Red Colorsheen
Dinner plate: Winter Festival
Salad plate (monogrammed): Sea Island
Bread plate: Birmingham

Classic Christmas Tablescape Centerpiece Ideas

For your Christmas tablescape centerpiece, I suggest keeping it minimal. I love the table runner style piece I put together for this table with the pairing of fresh hydrangeas and winter greens. I love that it is short, so everyone can clearly see each other all around the table. Add on some gold accents like I did and it is a fairly easy Christmas dinner table centerpiece to recreate!

Christmas Cocktail Recipe Suggestion

There are a few cocktails I would recommend for this classic festive Christmas tablescape, but my best one would be this amazing Regents Punch Recipe. Made with tea, brandy, rum, and champagne, this cocktail makes for a tasty warm, and cozy Christmas cocktail!
